Bernadette Fox - Fibre Artist

The inspiration for my work comes from nature and from my garden in particular, colour and sunlight are very important to me and I try to incorporate textiles and mixed media that best depict the texture and shape that I am trying to achieve. As each piece develops the fabric and fibres take on a life of their own and very often the finished piece will have changed from its inception as with my surrounding and the seasonal changes that occurs in nature. I incorporate weave, stitch, knit, fibre, fabric and various mixed media in my work.
